JASON TRINH - UN WOMEN
This year, Danang International Model United Nations UN Women welcomes a Chairman from Hanoi, Vietnam. Our Chairman is a young but enthusiastic person studying in Vietnamese Literature specialized class in Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Though only engaged in Model UN for roughly a year, he has attended 8 conferences as delegate and won many MUN awards. He has never chaired before, and DAIMUN will mark the first conference as a Chairman. He has been an active feminist with his artistic products which tackle sociopolitical issues. Jason believes that gender equality and women empowerment is an extremely important factor, therefore he chose to chair UN Women to help creating changes. He believes that through Model UN, young people will be more aware of sociopolitical isses, and he hopes that someday he and some of his own delegates will change the world to be a better place. With his enthusiasm, he was accepted by Yale Young Global Scholars "International Relations and National Security" summer program of the prestigious Yale University. He is also the Chief of Media and Communication in Model United Nations Institute (MIV), with a strong determination to spread out MUN and political, international relations related activities. This year, he will come to Da Nang to chair in DAIMUN 2018, and he is looking forward to meeting more young and potential delegates.
